What a difference the start makes. Compare these 2 videos from last weekend's AMA High Point MX National. The first video if on board Darryn Durham (250 class) who gets a 2nd place start behind Nico Izzi. The second video is on board Travis Sewell (450 class). He tangles with the rider to his left off the gate and gets a terrible start. The difference between the 2 videos is amazing. Durham and Izzi are out front charging away from the pack and Sewell is in the back battling roost and all the carnage around him. Just goes to show how tough it is to battle back from a poor start. Durham passed Izzi near the end of the first lap and went on to lead for 20 minutes before being passed back to 4th. Sewell finished 16th in that moto.
